Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is striving to make the forthcoming Mahakumbh at Prayagraj historic in every sense of the word. With a view to adding deep and rich cultural meaning to the revelry of the festival. The Allahabad Museum is preparing to showcase an enthralling exhibition displaying a replica of the ‘Kalash’ dripping ‘Amrit’, which forms one of the most important symbols of Kumbh.
The museum has demanded 12,000 square feet for this grand display from the fair administration. Rajesh Mishra, the Deputy Curator, stated, “The Amrit Kalash will serve as a prime attraction for devotees arriving from different parts of the country and abroad. As we will develop it as a selfie point.” The rich mythological heritage associated with Mahakumbh through this initiative is just to make it memorable for the attendees.
Besides this, the Allahabad Museum will also add the world’s first gallery on Chandrashekhar Azad and other prominent freedom fighters. This latest gallery covers the timeline of the independence movement right from the 1857 revolt to India’s freedom.
It would provide a comprehensive view of almost 90 years of the freedom struggle of India. With its mixture of revolutionaries that existed at that time. Icons such as Mangal Pandey and Chandrashekhar Azad will showcase their stories in dual forms, both digital and written. Each exhibit will also aim to effectively capture the sacrifices these courageous individuals endured. This thoughtfully crafted experience will leave a lasting impression, etching itself in the hearts of all who visit the exhibits. Visitors will engage with the powerful stories of these heroes, ensuring that their sacrifices are not forgotten.
With round-the-clock preparations for the Mahakumbh in full swing, Prayagraj is all set to welcome the devotees and tourists. This will also be the most majestic and divine Kumbh ever. Showcasing the rich cultural and also the historical heritage of our country, India.
