Lucknow Residence Sees Tiranga Hoisting by CM Yogi Adityanath

Hoisting the Tiranga, the Indian tricolor, at every home, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Wednesday, took part in the nationwide exercise of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga.On the premises of his official residence in Lucknow, Yogi hoisted the tricolor flag, launching a campaign that attempts to ignite a fire in the heart of every citizen, consequently generating national pride, with the visible display of the national flag at every home.

In a festive mood, CM Yogi Adityanath not only hoisted the flag but also clicked a selfie with the flag flying in high spirits, showing dedication towards the campaign. He extended his support in an X post where he stated that the campaign shall reach 4.5 crore households in Uttar Pradesh. He wished power to the elbows of everybody for the success of this campaign and appealed to the citizens to rejoice ‘Nation First’.

On the flag-hoisting event, Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Danish Azad Ansari, attended the Tiranga Yatra in Lucknow. Ansari said that more than 10,000 Muslim youth joined the yatra, adding that it was a broad-based participation from all communities. The government of Modi and Yogi has taken new initiatives for the empowerment and education of Muslim youths. “Their participation is the result of a positive alignment of their energy with the objectives of the government,” he said.

On the same day, CM Yogi Adityanath paid tributes to the partition victims on the first Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. He remembered the unfortunate moments of August 14, 1947, which resulted in the division of India, and how many innocent lives had to go through immense pain. In his tribute to X, he talked of the human cost of the partition and how it affected not just the country but also the people. More particularly, he showed respect for those killed and displaced as a consequence of such an inhumane decision, drawing lessons from such tragedies in history.

Today’s events had a dual focus: indulging in national pride through the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and remembrance of the Partition Horrors. The activities by CM Yogi Adityanath look at ‘National Unity’ with a concern for ‘ Historical Memory’.
