In a festive mood, CM Yogi Adityanath not only hoisted the flag but also clicked a selfie with the flag flying in high spirits, showing dedication towards the campaign. He extended his support in an X post where he stated that the campaign shall reach 4.5 crore households in Uttar Pradesh. The government of Modi and Yogi has taken new initiatives for the empowerment and education of Muslim youths. “Their participation is the result of a positive alignment of their energy with the objectives of the government,” he said.
On the same day, CM Yogi Adityanath paid tributes to the partition victims on the first Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. He remembered the unfortunate moments of August 14, 1947, which resulted in the division of India, and how many innocent lives had to go through immense pain. In his tribute to X, he talked of the human cost of the partition and how it affected not just the country but also the people. More particularly, he showed respect for those killed and displaced as a consequence of such an inhumane decision, drawing lessons from such tragedies in history.
Today’s events had a dual focus: indulging in national pride through the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and remembrance of the Partition Horrors. The activities by CM Yogi Adityanath look at ‘National Unity’ with a concern for ‘ Historical Memory’.
