PM Modi Flags Off Durg-Vishakapatnam Vande Bharat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off the Durg-Vishakapatnam Vande Bharat Express from Raipur railway station on Monday. This new service promises to slash travel time between Durg and Vishakapatnam.

This journey would be completed in just eight hours. As opposed to the earlier eleven to twelve-hour journey via the local train. Loco pilot J.D. Navrengay explained the safety and efficiency of the train. “It is a matter of pride for the nation that PM Modi has given the green signal for this train,” Navrengay said. He said the train runs at a speed of 160 km/h.

The Durg-Vishakapatnam Vande Bharat Express offers modern facilities and quick service. “The train was neat and clean, hygienic, at par with state-of-the-art amenities,” added Navrengay. This high-speed train may introduce a new experience in journeys. Since this train will go at great speed, along with modern facilities.

First-time train boarders were ecstatic. “I am very happy on this train. It is neat and clean, and there are excellent arrangements for passengers,” said student Diksha Sahu. She noted that the Vande Bharat Express offers a distinctly different experience compared to local trains.

Furthermore, School Principal Bhushan Paragniya praised the new service, stating, “The Vande Bharat train will greatly benefit intercity travelers. It will considerably reduce travel time, which is very convenient for everyone.” Moreover, he emphasized that the train’s modern facilities will contribute to Chhattisgarh’s faster progress. “If we introduce more Vande Bharat trains, Chhattisgarh will experience rapid growth,” he said.

During the flagging-off ceremony, distinguished guests such as Chhattisgarh Governor Raman Deka, Union Minister Tokhan Sahu, Member of Parliament Brijmohan Aggarwal, and MLAs Purender Mishra and Khushwant Saheb were present. Their attendance highlighted the significance of this new rail service in enhancing connectivity and infrastructure in the region.

The Vande Bharat Express also marks a significant advancement in the railway network, demonstrating the government’s commitment to modernizing transport and enhancing passenger experiences. As a result, the new train service is poised to enhance travel efficiency and set a precedent for future high-speed rail projects nationwide.
