On August 24, 2024, something heartwarming happened at the Government Primary Smart School, Bhattian, Bet, Ludhiana, Bahadarke, Punjab, India—this is in line with an important collaboration between the International Youth Development Foundation (IYDF) and Bawa Computer. This whole endeavor was led by Surinder Singh Bawa, along with volunteers named Naman Kumar, Aakashdeep, and Rakesh Kumar. The event aimed to ensure that 50 children would have all the necessary supplies for their education, sports, and day-to-day life that help in their overall development and well-being.
Distribution began early in the morning with the enthusiasm of the various kinds of materials out of which the school stuff, sporting needs, etc came into the limelight. S. Amarjeet Singh was to be credited with coordinating the smooth and convenient distribution of the materials among the children. The subsequent encouragement of the children with sports activities emerged to be an integral part of the event. The school campus also witnessed the children with mad excitement and lots of chuckles.
Surinder Singh Bawa spearheaded the event , who had the following to say: “The event brought me immense happiness and taught me so much. This was the first time I had ever else anything of the sort for charity. And it had a sense of worship to me. I never felt any sort of restlessness or bad feelings within myself. I stayed calm and, undoubtedly, brimmed with positive energy.”. “This experience made me so proud, and I hope to get involved in many more similar kinds of philanthropy activities in the future,” these words epitomize for one, and all the sense of personal and group satisfaction in being able to give back for a cause.
This fundraiser did nothing short of sharing some material support. But also canvassed a sense of joy and hope in themselves among the children. The kind of interaction and care displayed by the volunteers and organizers has inspired and uplifted these young participants. IYDF has been successful in promoting youth activities, with the collaboration of Bawa Computer. Bawa computer stands as an example by itself, also reflecting a deeply rooted culture of social responsibility and community engagement.
As the organization progresses, it will continue to make sure that more businesses and volunteers collaborate with it. To enrich the warm, supportive, and opportunity-filled future of the children in need. This has just been one event and a series has now started that will better the lives of many across communities.
