Alia Bhatt, on Tuesday, dropped a new poster for her much-awaited film Jigra opposite Vedang Raina. On the social media platform Instagram, Alia Bhatt, the protagonist of the movie, posted her as on top of a smashed car, holding a weapon and an axe along with a bag slung over her shoulder. Her face is masked; thus, which creates a lot of mystery. Vedang Raina briefly pops in at the back.
Alia shared the poster on Instagram and wrote, “Tu mere protection mein hai. #Jigra in cinemas 11th October.” In another post, she has shared another poster and captioned it, “Kahaani bahut lambi hai aur bhai ke paas waqt bahut bahut kam. #Jigra in cinemas 11th October.” The caption hints toward a big complicated story and tells how hasty it’s going to be in the movie plot.
Congratulating Alia after she shared the poster, was her mother Soni Razdan. The fans too were beaming in response. One fan wrote, “Wow. another poster!! It’s just wow!! Now awaiting teaser!!” Another user wrote, “You can see the amount of dedication and hard work she has put into this. Can’t wait to see what’s next”
Vedang Raina also shared the posters on his social media accounts. The release date of Jigra has been rescheduled from September 27, 2024, to October 11, 2024. Alia informed her followers about the same via Instagram with, “11.10.2024 | JIGRA | See you at the movies.” She also posted the new poster of the film.
By Vasan Bala, Jigra marks the first film between Alia and Vasan. Vasan Bala has directed films like Monica O My Darling, Peddlers, and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.He has presented his new story on the screen. The announcement video of the film, which was out last September, gave away the fact that it’s based on the story of a girl who loves her brother to death and can do anything for him.
In February 2024, Alia shared numerous behind-the-scenes pictures as she wrapped up shooting. She wrote to her fans, “Jigra oh. abki teri baari ho @vedangraina & that’s a film wrap on #JIGRA @vasanbala @swapsagram. See you soon.”
Jigra is a production under the banner of Dharma Productions. It also stars Vedang Raina, who made his film debut last year in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. With anticipation building up for Jigra, it looks promising: a bound performance by its lead pair.
