Apollo Hospitals in Chennai discharged veteran actor Rajinikanth after he underwent treatment for health problems. He left the hospital on Thursday night at around 11 PM, according to the Chennai Police.
He was hospitalized after his health began to deteriorate. According to an October 1 bulletin issued by Apollo Hospitals, he had a swelling in the aorta, which is the main blood vessel that originates from the heart. The medical team at Apollo treated this using the non-surgical transcatheter method.
Senior interventional cardiologist Sai Satish placed the stent through the aorta to seal the swelling without any issues. The hospital confirmed that the procedure was performed as scheduled.
“We would like to inform his well-wishers and fans that the procedure was successful. Mr Rajinikanth is stable and recovering well,” the bulletin said. It also noted that doctors would likely discharge him within two days.
On the night of his release, Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya went to Tiruvottiyur Shri Vadivudai Amman Temple in Chennai and performed some poojas for a speedy recovery of her father, showing the devotion of the family during this time.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth gears up for his next, titled “Coolie.” The highly anticipated film has already created a lot of hype, especially after the release of a monochrome teaser that saw Rajinikanth get back to his usual groove of personalized style and -action sequences as he single-handedly confronted adversaries with a belt made of gold watches. This has sent fans into a tizzy in anticipation of more about the film.
Coolie’ is an important collaboration for Rajinikanth with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. He earlier told DT Next, “Sun Pictures will make a prestigious film, and Sivakarthikeyan could be another important collaborator.” Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music. They have not announced a release date yet.
Besides “Coolie,” Rajinikanth will also star in “Vettaiyan” opposite Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. His fans are desperately waiting for their favorite actor to get back onto the big screen once he has recovered.
