Hanooman AI, one of the key technology companies in Artificial Intelligence, has introduced its brainchild, Everest 1.0- India’s first multi-lingual and multi-modal foundational LLM. The announcement was made at the NVIDIA GEN AI Summit held at Jio World Center in Mumbai. This launch is a significant move towards the goal of making India the global AI factory.
Everest 1.0 can support 35 languages while planning to increase up to 90 languages shortly. Among many other things, the model is capable of producing text, creating images, coding, generating voice, and analyzing documents. Thus, Everest 1.0 has been able to take an important place as a multi-lingual and multi-modal tool for the end consumer.
Besides building Everest 1.0, Hanooman AI has also created a complete AI platform. Thus, this would create a robust infrastructure layer with which to deploy compute resources, generative AI LLM models, AI agents, and a wide variety of workflows and APIs. The platform also empowers individual developers and large enterprises to build no-code agents and applications. One can deploy and train one’s custom models with one’s data in minutes. This democratization of AI technology helps with data sovereignty and security, which becomes vital in sectors like Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance-BFSI, Defense, space research, cybersecurity, and government institutions.
Dr. Vishnu Vardhan, Founder & CEO of Hanooman AI, underlined the economic importance of this launch: “We have lived this dream of making India the Gen AI factory of the world. With Everest 1.0, this vision is now closer to reality. By reducing the cost of generative AI by a factor of 10. We also enable the creation of millions of jobs and foster a new era of innovation and growth.”
Success indeed is the result of the effort and skill of the team at Hanooman AI. Next, Dr. Vardhan introduced his co-founders and tech engineers who worked on the platform, namely Harsha Vardhini, Co-CTO; Arpit Sharma, Co-CTO; Arjun Prasad; Weimer; and Sunil Malkhani. The platform is hosted on Yotta infrastructure. And uses the latest NVIDIA GPUs for training its models. Hence assuring high performance and efficiency.
Dr. Varadan said, “This is a defining moment in India’s AI landscape. Everest 1.0 and its comprehensive AI platform will empower users and enterprises toward innovation and growth. We are committed to making India a global leader in generative AI.”
As the Co-CTO of Hanooman AI, Harsha Vardhini insisted on the hard work of the team. “Our team has worked so hard to build a powerful, yet approachable platform for users at all levels. We’re excited to see the interesting and impactful applications that will come out from our platform.”
Addressing the concerns on data sovereignty, Arpit Sharma, Co-CTO, Hanooman AI, said, “Data sovereignty is of utmost importance, and our platform ensures that Indian data stays protected and in control. This step is pivotal in introducing a robust and secure AI ecosystem in India.”
In Everest 1.0, AI technology reaches the next level. As it also heralds India into the world platform as a leader in the global AI arena.
