Govinda: Bullet Removed, I’m Okay

In an unfortunate incident, Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda took to social media to update fans on his condition in the hospital after undergoing emergency surgery for an accidental gunshot injury. He shot his leg in his Mumbai home in the early hours of Tuesday morning when his licensed gun misfired.

In an audio message shared by Shiv Sena, Eknath Shinde faction member Krishna Hegde, Govinda said, “With the blessings of you all. And my parents, the bullet has been removed. I thank the doctors and you for keeping me in your prayers.”

This incident happened at about 4:45 am when Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. According to the Mumbai Police, he was putting his licensed revolver back in the cupboard when it inadvertently went off.

While explaining the situation, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha said, “Govinda was getting ready to go to Kolkata and while putting his licensed revolver back in the cupboard. The gun slipped from his hand and it went off, hitting him in the leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and he is stable. He is still admitted at the hospital.”

The senior official said that Govinda had suffered minor injuries. But the hospital kept him as a precautionary measure.

Govinda is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood. He started his acting career in the late 1980s and immediately rose to fame through action and drama films. Since then, he has acted in scores of Hindi movies and has been famous for smooth dialogue delivery. Excellent comic timing, and energetic dance moves.

During the late 1980s and early 1990s, he consolidated a string of successes. Ilzaam, Marte Dam Tak, Khudgarz, Dariya Dil, Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni, Swarg, and Hum. He got his act together to ensure himself as one of the best actors in Bollywood.

This news relieved his fans, and they now eagerly await his return to the screen. Even in the dismal period, the actor’s positivity and gratitude towards love from his fans did not fade away.
