Camila Cabello Takes Social Media Break to Focus on Creativity

Pop star Camila Cabello, who is behind the hit songs “Havana” and “Señorita,” is going to take a break from social media. The 27-year-old took to Instagram to announce the news on November 14, 2024. In a very casual selfie, Cabello explained, “A writer must have stories living them right now.” She continued, “Taking some cute little internet breaks.”

This break comes barely a week after the outstanding performance at the Elie Saab fashion show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she performed a medley of her hits: “Never Be the Same,” “Shameless,” “Havana,” and “I Luv It.” The event had other stars like Jennifer Lopez and Celine Dion, hence it was another great milestone that keeps on happening in Cabello’s career.

Over the past year, Cabello has been open about how she needs some time for herself. In August, she took to Instagram in an emotional post where she shared with her followers how personal issues were affecting her life. “Feels like sometimes there is heartache everywhere I look,” she said. She confessed how hard it was to give out when she felt emptiness inside. “If I am a part of your life and I disappear sometimes, that’s probably why,” she said. Yet despite all struggles, Cabello sounds hopeful. She reassured fans with humor: “So brb while I get some bandages and warm honey and stitches for this head and heart.” She would come back from her “trips to hell hotter, funnier, and smarter.”

This year is especially active on the Cabello front. In June, she released the album C, XOXO, including singles like “I Luv It,” “He Knows” (feat. Lil Nas X), and “Hot Uptown” (feat. Drake). In September, she issued an expanded version, Magic City Edition, with four new tracks: “Godspeed” among them.

After not touring since 2019, Cabello returned to live performances this year. “Señorita” singer described the stage as her “second home.” In September, she expressed on Instagram, “When we made C, XOXO, I knew I had to tour this body of work. These songs, these lyrics, these drums, this ENERGY – was MADE to be experienced live.”

More could also be expected from Cabello as she balances her career and personal life growth.
