Two Arrested in Liam Payne’s Death Investigation

Two Arrested in Liam Payne's Death Investigation

The sad death investigation of Liam Payne finally took a turn. Two were arrested over events that led to the 29-year-old star falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires last month.

Payne was 30 when he fell from a third-story balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel on October 16. Toxicology results from an autopsy have revealed that he had several narcotics in his system at the time of his death, including cocaine, according to numerous reports.

The two men arrested include a hotel maintenance worker and a suspected local drug dealer. Both are accused of providing Payne with the drugs found in his system. Police have also raided the home of an Argentine businessman who falsely claimed to be Payne’s manager during the singer’s final days. Authorities have not yet named those arrested, but the investigation continues.

The police found a cocktail of drugs, alcohol, and damages inside Liam Payne’s hotel room. That’s a wild scenario before his deadly fall. Investigators have tied Payne’s last hours to an argument with two women, referred to as “L” and “R.” Payne reportedly met them through an escort app. The women were demanding $5,000 from Payne, authorities said, which became the heated argument that spilled into the hotel lobby. The manager later called the Argentine businessman to help resolve the issue.

In a surprise turn of events, the businessman is now facing charges over the incident for “abandonment of a person.” He never called Payne’s family nor reported his death to authorities. While the charge does not carry detention, it is a serious development.

These raids were part of the probe, and out of the nine places raided by the police, eight belonged to the eight accused. Authorities conducted the ninth raid at the rented room of one of the women, “L,” who had been in Payne’s room before the fall. Neighbors reported hearing a dog barking from the room, but it appears vacant now. The police are actively searching for “L,” who has disappeared.

Meanwhile, authorities are bringing Liam Payne’s body back to the UK for burial. They are collecting items like mobile phones, computers, hard drives. And a jar of marijuana to gather more information on how he fell from the condo. The case is still unfolding, and the authorities are working to piece together the full story behind Payne’s tragic fall.
