Veteran Actor Ron Hale Passes Away at 78

Veteran actor Ron Hale is no more. According to the US publication Variety, Ron died on August 27 at 78 years old. The cause of his death has not been revealed yet. And this came as quite a shocking moment to the fans and his colleagues.

Ron Hale first gained national recognition with his portrayal of Dr. Roger Coleridge on the ABC daytime drama Ryan’s Hope, where, for nearly a decade and a half 900 episodes between 1975 and 1989-the talented actor turned the fictional doctor into a household name. He received wide critical praise, including nominations for the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in both 1979 and 1980.

The way Ron could fill in so much detail in the character made him a quick favorite among viewers.

Following Ryan’s Hope, Ron went on to do another soap icon turn as Mike Corbin in the long-running General Hospital. He played Mike from 1995 to 2010, building himself into the fabric of the show. Ron also appeared in the show’s sister series Port Charles from 1997 to 2000. Further cementing his status in daytime television.

In addition to his work in the soaps, Ron Hale made guest appearances in many popular television series.
