The long convoy of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, which had started from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, has become critical on the way to Islamabad. The Southern Districts convoy is currently at Hakla Interchange and is waiting for Gandapur’s convoy to cross over Kati Pahari to start the journey with them. PTI President South KP Shahid Khattak claimed that once Gandapur crossed Kati Pahari, the convoy would proceed towards Islamabad.
Tweet PTI updated on X that their convoy for the Southern Districts has reached Hakla Interchange. Now they await the arrival of Gandapur’s convoy. After both meet, the convoy will proceed to Islamabad. Hakla Interchange is near Fateh Jang in Punjab and is considered a key point for the route.
In a video released by the PTI, Barrister Umair Niazi said, “We are a few kilometers away from Islamabad. Insha’Allah, three demands of Imran Khan will be fulfilled.” He also appealed to people of other cities to join this caravan in Islamabad.
In another post, PTI reported that Opposition Leader Umar Ayub Khan along with MNA Ali Khan Jadoon were at the forefront in Burhan along with their workers along with the Hazara convoy early in the morning. Geo News, meanwhile confirmed that Gandapur’s convoy had crossed the Hazara Interchange that connects Burhan Interchange in Punjab to Thakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, PTI updated about Gandapur’s convoy on X: “Worst shelling continues as convoy advances”. The convoy is on its way to Islamabad amid challenges.
Meanwhile, the supporters of PTI founder Imran Khan demonstrated across the world in support of their party leader. From Pakistan to international cities, everywhere has witnessed protests. In Mississauga, Canada, PTI supporters joined protests at over 60 locations around the globe. And called out against Pakistan’s “authoritarian regime.” PTI Tweeted in praise on X: “Diaspora in Mississauga, Canada also came out to show solidarity with Imran Khan’s #FinalCall.”
Also on Sunday, PTI supporters based in Canada took to the streets in protest in four cities. And called for the immediate release of Imran Khan and all other political prisoners. The party hailed Khan as “an inspiring figure and a motivator, even inside a prison.” “His name is Imran Khan Niazi, and he has won,” PTI said in an X post.
Earlier in the morning, the convoy of Gandapur had started its advance towards Islamabad. PTI shared that Gandapur had started the journey, keeping in view the destination of Islamabad. Authorities met the convoy with heavy resistance, including relentless tear gas shelling near Attock Bridge and Chach Interchange. And Ghazi Barotha Canal as police try to disperse the march towards the capital.
