Post More, Share More: Instagram's New Carousel Limit is 20!

Instagram, in its quest to greatly increase user engagement, has increased the number of posts that can be put up as a carousel on its platform to as many as 20 photos and videos. This recent update, rolled out quietly and without fanfare, represents a notable uptick from the previous limit of 10 items per carousel, thus giving users the ability to share a much larger volume of content within a single post.

This feature has been in development for several months, during which time Instagram tested a limit of 15 items before settling on the new 20-item limit.

With this feature, Instagram users can now show more diverse and wide-ranging media in their posts, giving them greater flexibility in how they showcase events, collections, and moments of their lives in a more comprehensive and engaging way.

“This update will significantly enhance how users share their experiences and stories,” an Instagram spokesperson commented according to GSM Arena.

“By increasing the carousel limit, we’re giving our community more freedom to express themselves and engage with their followers,” the Instagram spokesperson added.

This will begin a new capability, introduced to a majority of Instagram users in the latest carousel feature update; however, individuals not having viewed it should confirm the newest Instagram app is engaged to enable this new function.

Launched in 2010, Instagram is a social networking service that has grown into an extremely popular photo and video sharing of its members. The platform allows users to capture and edit visual content, apply a series of filters, and share their posts with their followers.

Since the early days of its establishment, Instagram added features like Stories, Reels, and IGTV to keep pace with every variety of taste one might be seeking. With such strong concentration on the aesthetic experience of visuals, Instagram has grown vital, not only for influencers but also for brands and businesses, to keep in touch and build rapport with their audiences.

The platform also integrates direct messaging and interactive features like polling and questioning, making it far more interactive for any given user.
