Netflix Reveals Premiere Date for "Monsters" Season 2

Netflix has just released the launch date for Ryan Murphy’s nonfiction series, “Monsters” Season 2. The subtitle of this new season points out the infamous case of 1996 in which the two Menendez brothers were found guilty of murder in an act against their parents, Jose and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez.

Netflix announced on it’s official page that the much awaited Season 2 of the series “Monsters” will be released on 19th September 2024.

The series (“monsters”- Season 2) will delve into the sensationalized trial that had the world glued to their televisions at the beginning of the 90s. In an official description, the district attorney had accused the brothers in what is “viewed as the court of public opinion,” being motivated by greed and an inheritance the family was fighting over. The Menendez brothers always maintained that what drove them was a lifetime of abuse.

The Menendez Brothers will feature Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch in main roles, alongside Javier Bardem and Chloe Sevigny as their parents. Nathan Lane as Dominick Dunne, the journalist, and Ari Graynor as the defense attorney Leslie Abramson.

The season will follow the massive success of Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story in continuing the series with its anthology-style format. Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story promises to retell in depth one of the most controversial criminal cases in the 20th century.

Executive produced by the likes of Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, David McMillan, Louise Shore, Carl Franklin, Scott Robertson, and Bardem. Directed by Brennan, Max Winkler, Paris Barclay, Michael Uppendahl, and Franklin. and directed episodes by Murphy, McMillan, Todd Kubrak, Brennan, and Reilly Smith, it includes several committed directors.

The season one was a great success for the directors which led them to continue the series and come up with part 2.
