Chris Hemsworth in Talks to Be the Prince Charming

Chris Hemsworth, who has fronted Marvel movies as Thor, is in talks to play Prince Charming in a film at Disney titled “Prince Charming.”

Although plot details remain under lock and key at Disney, Variety reports that it is still not clear if the film will be live-action or animated only.

The film will be directed by Paul King, known for helming “Wonka.” King, Simon Farnaby, and Jon Croker will also co-write the screenplay. King’s most recent film, “Wonka,” did moderately well at the box office with a $218 million domestic gross. And a worldwide gross of $634 million, so there is hope this new movie will too. He also directed the “Paddington” movies, which were also box office smashes.

Recently, Chris Hemsworth has been busy with the voice work of Optimus Prime in the animated movie “Transformers One.” And at the beginning of 2024, he played the villain Dementus alongside Anya Taylor-Joy in “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.”

Later, he will be in the thriller “Crime 101,” from Amazon MGM Studios. Already attached to the star is an amazing cast of actors, which includes Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan, and Mark Ruffalo, all co-stars with Hemsworth in the Avengers franchise. A project based on a short story by Don Winslow titled “Crime 101”. It is all about a string of unsolved jewelry thefts along with the Pacific Coast Highway. Hemsworth will be playing a lone jewel thief. A thief who is planning one final heist while a detective tries to catch him.

Disney has yet to comment on whether Hemsworth will play the role of Prince Charming. With Hemsworth and King at the helm of this project, fresh from their respective successful careers in the entertainment world. The fans are hoping for more updates about this exciting project and are eagerly waiting for it’s release.
