He is all set to celebrate his win in style by holding a grand roadshow in Delhi. It will take off from the iconic Chhatrasal Stadium and make a significant mark for the wrestler and his countless supporters on Tuesday.

Bronze medalist in the 57 kg freestyle wrestling category, Aman Sehrawat is being hailed for his stellar performance in the multi-sport event. Proof of this can be realized from the roadshow that was organized in Delhi. That in itself will be a kudos to his contribution towards Indian wrestling. The roadshow will cross various parts of the city.

Before the roadshow, on Sunday, Sehrawat went back to his native place, Jhajjar in Haryana. A grand welcome was there for his brilliant performance . The victory reception in Jhajjar reflected that his win was not only important for him but for the entire nation. He would start the roadshow for the North from Chhatrasal Stadium, famous for producing the best wrestler talent in the country. Including Olympic medalists Yogeshwar Dutt, Sushil Kumar, and current sensation Aman Sehrawat.

Before the roadshow, Aman said, “I am so happy that I am getting love from everyone for the roadshow. The entire country is showering their blessings.” His words spoke volumes of support and appreciation from fans and fellow countrymen alike.

Aman Sehrawat victory in Paris was indeed hard-fought. Up against the wrestler Darian Cruz from Puerto Rico for the bronze medal. The bout displayed a great deal of tactical resurgence. Cruz dominated first after getting a single leg hold against Aman. And taking him out of the blue zone to win the first point. But Aman fought back strategically, showing his resolve. He shot at the shoulders of Cruz, and that threw him out of the blue zone, making it two points.

Despite the lead change by Cruz on the pin of Aman’s legs and Sehrawat’s pressure the match went back to find Aman leading. Aman kept maintaining the hold and making the best out of the match. With 37 seconds left to play in the bout, Sehrawat was all. But handed victory when he racked up some more points. Cruz made one more desperate move but ended up giving away a point, leading to Aman being declared the winner.

This victory was one of the most important feats after he became the youngest Indian wrestler to win an Olympic medal. Moreover, his win at the Parisian Games in 2024 would have stamped a ninth medal of the form for India, and he, in turn, would have also become the seventh Indian wrestler to win an Olympic medal.

The one in Delhi will not be a celebration of Dinesh Sehrawat’s triumph alone. But also one of national pride as it will showcase, at its best event, the strength and talent of Indian wrestling. It will be a grand spectacle as enthusiastic crowds and a festive environment acknowledge a young athlete . An athlete who has brought so much pride to his country.
